Scope
TGPS was hired by the grid operator, Red Electrica de España to supervise the execution of performance testing to regulate the electrical systems in the islands.
The goal was to determine the generation costs and start-up costs of 87 power plants throughout the islands of: Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Ceuta, El Hierro, La Gomera, Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza.
87 plants were tested over an 18-month period.
